35 market yards will be modernised: Minister

Tirupati, May 6 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Marketing Minister Botsa Satyanarayana today said that 35 market yards would be modernised soon at a cost of Rs 200 crore in the state.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the state government with the assistance from NABARD would modernise the market yards in the interest of the farmers.

He said a joint commitee of NABARD and officials had already inspected the market yards to study the feasibility for modernisation.

After the joint committee submits its report, the government would take a decision for modernising the market yards, he added.

Later, the minister left for Tirumala and offered worship to Lord Venkateswara.
