14 killed in jeep-oil tanker collision in Haryana

Rohtak, May 6 (UNI) At least 14 people were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a jeep and an oil tanker on the Rohtak-Jind Road near Bhagwatipur village in this district today.

The injured, who were stated to be serious, were admitted to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences hospital here.

The bodies were lying at the accident site and yet to be identified. All the victims were travelling in the jeep which was coming towards Rohtak.

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed grief over the accident and announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each for the victims' families.
