Venezuela says to aid Bolivian energy nationalisation
PUERTO IGUAZU, Argentina, May 4 (Reuters) Venezuela will help Bolivia in the process of nationalising its energy sector, Venezuelan ministers said today.
This would include sending Venezuelan technicians to audit reserves and company assets, Energy Minister Rafael Ramirez told reporters.
Said Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ali Rodriguez: ''Bolivia has asked us for aid in the hydrocarbon industry and we are ready to comply.'' They were speaking at an emergency summit of the leaders of Bolivia, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil to discuss the Bolivian take-over.
