Three US soldiers killed by bomb in Iraq

BAGHDAD, May 5 (Reuters) Three US soldiers were killed today when their vehicle was blasted by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad, the US military said in a statement.

The incident happened in Babil province, just south of the capital, the military said. It gave no further details.

An Iraqi police spokesman in the provincial capital Hilla said the explosion destroyed a Humvee patrol vehicle near the town of Mahaweel, 75 km, south of Baghdad.
