Samsung India launches D820 slim slide-up mobile phone

Mumbai, May 05 (UNI) Samsung Telecommunications India (STI) has launched its latest slim slide-up mobile handset D820 in the Indian market, with advanced features to play stored programs on television and store business presentations on the phone.

The unique technology feature introduced in D820 is the 'Direct TV Out' function which enables recorded video films, images, office documents and video games to be played on the television screen or through a data projector. It can also be used to play MP3 melodies on audio systems. This 'Direct TV Out' feature takes the 'mobile entertainment' paradigm to a new future of 'sharing entertainment on the move'.

STI Managing Director H C Ru said, ''the launch of D820 mobile shows the company's commitment to fulfill growing demand of stylish phones for fashion conscious Indian consumers who are discerning about high end features.'' The mobile offers wider space to store business presentations, video footage or MP3 songs. Embedded software - Piscel Viewer allows access to business information supporting all popular office formats like MS Word, powerpoint, excel, pdf, html, and standard image formats.

The phone is embedded with hi-end features like 262k TFT QVGA colour screen, quadband, bluetooth wireless support, advanced voice recognition, email, direct tv out, privacy lock, pictbridge and mobile printing. It has 73 MB of internal memory and 128 MB micro flash external memory card that comes free.
