Motorola announces extention of strategic relationship with Bharti
New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) Motorola today announced an agreement to extend it's previously established strategic relationship with Bharti Teletech Ltd (BTTL) under which Motorola's range of bluetooth devices will initially be available in BTTL's leading retail outlets in 30 metropolitan cities across India.
BTTL has over 250 distributors with over 11,000 retail channels that will help Motorola reach out to the widest customer base possible, a statement released here said. This extention of agreement aims at leveraging the strong national presence of both the companies, the statement added.
Announcing the extension of the strategic relationship between BTTL and Motorola, Director and General Manager, MobileME, High Growth Markets Steen Ronholt said, ''We are very excited to partner with Bharti to bring out bluetooth products to Indian consumers''.
Motorola plans to create a market in India for it's bluetooth category of devices designed for freedom, easy to use and seamless access in mobile usage targetting the high end user.
Bluetooth is a wireless technology and Motorola today claims to have more than 40 per cent of the global market of bluetooth devices. They have a range of devices like bluetooth headset, bluetooth car kit and miniheadset which they plan to create a market for.
