HC dismisses AVUT plea to cancel Ansal's bail

New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today dismissed the AVUT (Association of the Victims of Uphaar Tragedy) petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to Sushil Ansal, the owner of Uphaar Cinema.

Justice RC Jain observed that the petition moved by AVUT accusing Sushil of tampring with the evidences didn't merit so much consideration as to warrant cancellation of his bail.

AVUT had moved the High Court on April 18 to reject Sushil Ansal's bail for allegedly tampering with evidence produced before the trial court.
