Court rejects bail in Disproportionate Asset case

Patna, May 5 (UNI) Special Vigilance Judge Ramnivas Prasad today rejected anticipatory bail application of Ratna Ganguly, mother of one of the prime accused Amitabh Arun, in connection with Disproportionate Assets case.

According to the charges, Ms Ganguli was the co-accused in the case and charged for abetting her son in amassing properties disproportionate to their income, which is linked to multi-crore flood relief scam.

The Vigilance Bureau, in course of its investigation, found that Mr Arun had amassed huge wealth disproportionate to all known sources of his income.

Mr Arun is currrently in Beure Central jail of Patna.
