CJM rejects bail plea of Maoist activists in Purulia
Purulia, May 5 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Purulia court Jimut Bahan Biswas today rejected the bail plea of Maoist activists Bimala Sardar and Sulekha Mahato.
He had directed the court to produce them again on May 15 with their case diary at Bandowan in Purulia district.
They were arrested in Belpahari of West Midnapore on February 7, 2006, in connection with the murder of CPI(M) leader Rabindra Nath Kar and his wife Ananda Moyee on December 30, 2005.
The CJM had also asked the officer-in-charge of Rajpur, Bankura, to produce Sulekha Mahato's school certificates because her lawyer Sagar Mondal said she is a minor girl.
