Banking institute conducts online test for Overseas Bank officers

Mumbai, May 5 (UNI) The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, which caters to the requirements of the entire banking system, financial institutions and other public sector undertakings has for the first time conducted an online examination for the officers of the Indian Overseas Bank for promotion from scale I to Scale II on Sunday April 30, a media release issued here today said.

The test was conducted in 47 towns/cities at 123 venues covering 867 officers simultaneously, in one sitting. This paperless exam proved to be highly convenient in terms of its location. The feedback received from the examinees was overwhelming. Based on this positive response, the institute would conduct such on-line exams on a wider scale in future too, the release added.
