New Delhi, May 5: British Airways (BA) has announced an additional flight on Bangalore-London route following increasing passenger traffic.
The additional flight will take BA frequencies from Bangalore to London Heathrow to six per week. The new flight (BA118) will takeoff from Bangalore international airport at 0545 hrs on Thursday and arrive at London Heathrow at 1150 hrs.
BA has also announced special services for passengers across five airports in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore. They include introduction of facilitators to greet and assist First, Club World and Executive Club customers and provide conveniences such as e-ticketing and online check in.
BA has been in India for 77 years and currently operates 42 flights per week from London Heathrow to five cities in India, including double daily services to Mumbai, double dailies connecting Delhi and London, three times per week to Kolkata, five flights a week from Chennai and now six flights a week from Bangalore.
Its fleet comprises of 290 planes and includes 57 Boeing 747s, 43 Boeing 777s, 21 Boeing 767s, and 13 Boeing 757s.
