Timesjobs' Job Fair to begin tomorrow

New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) Job portal, Timesjobs.com, will organise a three-day job fair in association with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) from tomorrow at Pragati Maidan here.

About one lakh job aspirants are expected to visit the 'Big Leap Jumbo Job and Professional Education Fair 2006', being organised for the third consecutive year, and vie for over 5,000 jobs on offer.

Nearly 100 corporates including blue-chip companies from Hospitality, Airlines, HR Consultancy, Retail, Insurance, Banking and Finance, Telecom, IT and IT Enabled Services will participate in the event.

Major recruiters participating in the fair include Jet Airways, Hotel InterContinental-Nehru Place, Marriott Hotel, Patni, Godrej Infotech, Airtel (Bharti Televentures), American Express and Bajaj Capital.

UTI Bank, NIIT SmartServe, Xansa, Genpact, Interglobe, LIC, HDFC Standard Life, EXL, Fiserv, IBS, Amadeus, Connexant, Vertex, Induslogic, Jais TV, GITS-Noida, Frankfinn Insititute, DOEACC as well as the Indian Army, Navy and Air force will participate in the event.

''We pioneered the concept of Job-Fairs, which have become a standard practice and a preferred channel and source of recruitment across the country,'' Timesjobs.com Director R Sundar said.

With over 4,000 job placements done, Jumbo Job Fair 2005 saw the participation of over 50,000 candidates and 76 companies.
