Temperature rises to 41 Deg C after relatively cool day yesterday

New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) A day after fresh wave of Westerly winds brought about a drop in mercury to below 40 Degree C, for the first time in more than a week, temperature in the capital rose to 41 Degree C.

A fresh wave of Westerly winds had yesterday brought down the maximum temperature to 39.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum to 21.2 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal.

While the minimum temperature witnessed just a slight rise to 21.3 Degree C, the maximum rose to 41 Degree C.

Though the weathermen have forecast a partly coudy sky towards the evening and thunderstorms and squalls in a few areas, they expect the weather to become hotter in the coming days.

While they have forecast the maximum temperature to rise to 42 Degree C by Sunday, the minimum is expected to rise to 24 Degree C.

AT the same time, the BBC has predicted a rise in maximum temperature to 43 Degree C and the minimum to 27 Degree C on Sunday.
