Sulphur Recovery Unit inaugurated at Digboi

Guwahati, May 4: A Sulphur Revcovery Unit was inaugurated at Digboi Refinery by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Chairman Mr Sarhtak Behuria.

An official release said here today Mr Behuria, during his maiden visit, also released a safety film developed in Assamese for the benefit of the Corporation and contractors' employees.

He called upon the Indian Oil People at AOD to ensure sustained technological development of the refinery and upgrade products and services at Assam Oil Division (AOD) Retail Outlets.

Addressing the employees in the refinery, Mr Behuria commended the performance of Indian Oil People during the last fiscal.

He praised the IOCians at AOD for preserving the values of the world's oldest refinery.

The Chairman met the members and reviewed the performance of AOD.

He said despite the odds posed by unfavourable pricing policy, Indian Oil continues to have its vision of being a billion company by 2011-12.
