Bangalore, May 4 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by weather office at 0830 hours today The rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over South Interior Karnataka.
The chief rainfall amounts (cm): Jamakhandi and Bijapur one each.
Maximum temperatures fell at most places being appreciably so at many places over South Interior Karnataka; fell appreciably at many places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 40.0 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until the Saturday morning : Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.
Farmers forecast : Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka; Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka and Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur districts of North Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
