Peshawar team lose to North Zone Cricket Academy

Chandigarh, May 4 (UNI) North Zone Cricket Academy (NZCA) defeated Peshawar district Team by 100 runs in a friendly cricket match at the PCA Stadium here today.

The visitors elected to field and got their first breakthrough by dismissing Ian Chauhan but Robin Bisht (83) and Uday Kaul (50) played sensibly and put on 95 runs between themselves.

Later, Vipan Chauhan played a 25-ball cameo innings of 41 and 24-run knock off 15 balls by Yogesh helped NZCA reach 231 for four in the allotted 40 overs.

Defending the score, Sumit Kalia decimated the Peshawar team, claiming five wickets for 37 runs and the visitors were dismissed for 131 runs.

The Peshawar District Team reached Mohali last evening via Wagah after visiting the Golden Temple, Amritsar. They will also play friendly matches in New Delhi.
