Palnganda family Lifts the trophy

Madikeri, May 4 (UNI) In a keenly fought contest, Palanganda family team defeated Maccharanda by 6-5 to emerge winners in the Kallichanda Hockey festival here today.

Sudden death was applied as both the teams were tied at 2-2 even after 15 minutes of extra time and Palanganda emerged winner.

Earlier the two teams fought tooth and nail to over power each others and to the delight of thousands of sports lovers packed full in the gallery at Ponnampet.

Around 300 families took part in the 20-day family hockey played.
