UNI UPB BA Itanagar, May 04 (UNI): Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman and BJP legislator Kipa Babu has alleged misutilisation of Pawan Hans helicopter in Arunachal Pradesh, particularly by state Chief Minister Gegong Apang. Mr Babu in a letter to union civil aviation minister informed that six PAC members recently booked the chopper well in advance for going to Guwahati from Naharlagun for a countrywide study tour programme, but it was diverted at the last moment by the chief minister for visiting his home constituency. The chairman also alleged that the chopper was used indiscriminately in the recently held assembly elections in Assam and West Bengal by the chief minister for campaigning purpose. He urged the minister to facilitate using of the much-needed chopper service for the genuine and necessary passengers especially the sick passengers traveling outside, rather than being used by the elite section of the society for their personal interests.
