Man arrested for cheating youth on pretext of providing jobs
New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) The Delhi Police arrested a man who cheated a number of innocent unemployed youth of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of providing them jobs in Prasar Bharti.
53-year-old Anil Kumar Dhawan, working as an assistant with the Prasar Bharti at Akashwani Bhawan, was arrested from his house in South Delhi's Moti Bagh on May 1.
Anil was arrested on a complaint by one Vijay Kumar of Village Bagdola in Sector 8 in Dwarka that he and five others had paid huge amounts to the accused for providing the jobs in the Prasar Bharti for which appointment letters and identity cards were provided by him which were, however, later found to be fake.
Consequently, an FIR was filed in the R K Puram police station and a hunt launched for the accused who had gone underground.
Finally, he was nabbed on the evening of May 1.
The accused has been sent to police remand.
