K'taka CM inaugurates Lakkundi Utsav amidst showers
Lakkundi, May 4 (UNI) Rain played spoilsport forcing Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to inaugurate the ''Lakkundi Utsav'' in a hurry and rush back to his car.
When the Chief Minister arrived at the venue half an hour behind schedule, the sun was still shining. However, the weather suddenly changed and rain, accompanied by gutsy winds, started lashing the area, forcing the people to run for shelter.
As there were no signs of let-up in the rain, Mr Kumaraswamy inaugurated the Utsav in a hurry and spoke for just a minute, announcing that the government would develop Lakkundi, a village of 101 temples and 101 tanks, as a tourist centre.
