Jury reaches verdict in Moussaoui death penalty case
ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 3 (Reuters) A US jury has reached a verdict in the sentencing trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, who faces the death penalty for conspiracy in connection with the September. 11 attacks, the court said today.
''The jury in US V Moussaoui has sent a note to the judge indicating they have reached a verdict,'' the court said in a statement.
The verdict will be read at 4:30 p.m. local time.
Moussaoui has pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy in the only case brought in the United States in connection with the deadly hijacked airliner attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
