Jonty Rhodes to help Pakistan with fielding

KARACHI, May 4 (Reuters) South African Jonty Rhodes will work on improving Pakistan's fielding before their tour to England starting in June.

Rhodes was famous for his fielding while playing 52 tests and 245 one-dayers for South Africa, in which he took a total of 139 catches.

''We have been (told) he is ready to come down for two weeks to work with our players. Dates will be finalised this week,'' Pakistan board official Saleem Altaf told Reuters.

''We don't think he will come and immediately improve fielding standards. But we are confident he will help put our players on the right path,'' chairman Shaharyar Khan said.

Pakistan play four tests and five one-day internationals on their England tour.

Pakistan are coached by Bob Woolmer who coached South Africa in the 1990s when Rhodes was a key player.
