Havell's plans to invest Rs 150 cr in 2 years

Hardwar, May 4: Havell's India Ltd's thirteenth and the country's largest integrated fan manufacturing plant, with a capacity to produce 2.4 million pieces a year, was today inaugurated by Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari here today.

Havell's, an emerging leader in the fan and CFL segment and an end-to-end solution provider in the Power Distribution Equipment Industry, has set up this world-class facility at an initial investment of over Rs 25 crore, and has planned an equal investment in the next two years here.

''We are bullish about the fans segment and intend to increase the production capacity to 3.6 million fans per annum within the next three years,'' Havell's India Ltd Director Anil Gupta said on the occasion.

The company has envisaged expansion plans to invest over Rs 150 crore in various developmental activities during the next two years across India, including acquisition, margers, takeovers and setting up of new plants.

Inaugurating the plant, Mr Tiwari assured support to Havell's while inviting other big companies to set up their facilities in the state.

The Chief Minister informed that at present, the construction of the facilities of over 300 companies was underway, while work on around 56 projects would begin soon.

Besides, 184 pharmaceutical companies are expected to come here, of which 100 have already arrived.

Private industrial estates were also coming up in the state, Mr Tiwari added.

With a turnover of Rs 900 crore in the last fiscal, of which exports account for about Rs 100 crore, the group is poised for another quantum jump of over 50 per cent in the current year.

Havell's India's, the flagship company of QRG Enterprises, has a reach across 26 branch offices, over 2000 authorised dealers and 25,000 retail outlets and also has clientele in the international markets of Malaysis, Bangladesh, Sri Landa, Dubai, Africa, Iran, Singapore and Iraq. The company is currenting exporting to over 51 countries globally.

The state-of-the-art manufacturing plant includes in-house CNC machining facility. Electrostatic coveyorised paint shop, automatic sator winding machines, conveyorised assembly and testing lines.

Hevell's has launched various models of ceiling fans in the market meeting the consumers demand for energy saving. The Company had launched highly efficient energy saving fans by the name ES-50, where the consumer saves on energy consumption and recovers the cost of the total fan over two years.

It claims that this fan consumes only 50 Watt of 75-80 Watts, thus making it the highest energy efficient fan in the market today.

Havell's fans are sold in the international market with the prestigious ''S-Mark'' certification.
