Goa to become hub of knowledge, society, education, medical tourism
Hyderabad, May 4 (UNI) Even while all focus has been on developing infrastructure in the state, Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane today said his government was also making a concerted effort to turn his state into a hub for education and medical tourism.
Participating in Advantage India Seminar at the 39th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr Rane said Goa government has been promoting industralisation and better connectivity by air, road and water throughout the state.
He said the Goa government is now planning for mass transport system and six-lane express highway in the state.
''We have international airport, one major sea port and five minor ports. Tourism is a big industry in Goa and iron ore export is also doing well,'' he added.
Mr Rane said that in the present scenario, efforts are on to make Goa a hub for education and medical tourism.
