Ford India to launch new model in select markets

New Delhi, May 4: Ford India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, today announced its plans to introduce its new model Fiesta 1.4 SXi Duratorq diesel, in select markets.

The growing demand for the 'Ford Fiesta' and 'Ford Ikon' has buoyed the company to launch the new model, which will be available only in Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.

Over the year, it will be launched across the country, a release said here.

''The new Fiesta 1.4 SXi Duratorq diesel offers class leading fuel efficiency, comfort and performance,'' Ford India President and Managing Director Arvind Mathew said.

It includes features like leather upholstery, alloy wheels, 6 CD in dash audio with 6 speakers and electric adjustable outside mirrors.

Ford India posted an impressive growth of 69 per cent in April 2006.
