BJP leaders condole the death of Mahajan

Gulbarga, May 3 (UNI) State BJP leaders, including MLAs and MLCs today condoled the death of party general secretary Pramod Mahajan, who after battling for life for 12 days, succumbed to injuries in Mumbai.

Talking to UNI, Gulbarga BJP MLA Chandrasekhar Patel described Mahajan's demise as great loss to the party.

''I was hoping that he would survive. But unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries,'' he said.

Legislative Council member (MLC) and district BJP president Sasil Namoshi condoled the death of Mr Mahajan saying that the country had it lost a young and dynamic political leader.

The MLC who is in Bangalore is rushing to Mumbai to pay last tributes to his beloved leader.

Distict organising secretary Gurraju Bharatnoon said thousands of BJP activists plunged in grief.

''We are convening a condolence meeting tomorrow in the city,'' he said.
