Bail of Maoist family rejected
Purulia, May 4 (UNI) The bail plea of a Maoist family was rejected today by the Chief judicial magistrate Ataur Rahaman for allegedly being involved in the murder of the O C of Bandwan police station five years ago.
Mr Rahaman rejected the bail of Mr Sunil Sarkar and his wife Mrs Jyotshna and asked the police to produce them again on May 18 with the case diary. They also have an one-year-old children.
The CID filed the case against them for allegedly being involded in the murder of Nilmadhab Das, O C of Bandwan Thana in Purulia district on October 10, 2001.
They were produced in Purulia Court today.
They were sent to Midnapore correctional home in Midnapore town, said their lawyer, Mr Sagar Mondal.
