2 NSCN-IM cadres killed in inter-factional clash

Kohima, May 04 (UNI) The situation in the entire Athibung area under Peren district of Nagaland is tense since yesterday following fierce inter-factional clashes between rival factions of the NSCN, which claimed two lives so far.

According to official sources here today the inter-factional clash was erupted yesterday afternoon which continued over half-an-hour left two NSCN-IM cadres killed. The casualty, if any on the other side, was not immediately known. Meanwhile, the NSCN-IM sources confirmed the death of two cadres.

The officials of the District administration rushed to the spot to pacify the warring cadres of both the factions of NSCN and claimed that the situation is under control.
