2 civilians killed, 15 wounded in grenade attack
Srinagar, May 4: At least two people were killed and 15 others, including three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, wounded in a grenade attack at Chadoora town in central Kashmir this afternoon.
Official sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a vehicle carrying personnel of the BSF's 43 battalion at Chadoora town this afternoon.
The grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside, causing injuries to at least 17 people, including three BSF men, they added.
Two of the wounded civilians later succumbed to ther injuries on way to hospital, the sources said.
The other wounded have been admitted to various hospitals where the condition of few of them was stated to be critical, they added.
The traffic on the Chadoora-Charar-e-Sharief road came to a halt soon after the attack.
