SBBJ announces net profit of Rs 145.03 crore

New delhi, May 3 (UNI) The State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur today announced a net profit of Rs 145.03 crore for 2005-06 as against Rs 205.65 crore for 2004-05.

The Bank recorded an all time high growth of Rs 6496 crore during 2005-06 to reach Rs 37,790 crore. The operating profit is Rs 592.37 crore against Rs 729.64 crore for the previous year.

Announcing the financial results of the bank, Managing Director S K Bhattacharya said, ''The advances of the bank reached Rs 16096 crore at the end of March 2006 recording the highest ever growth of Rs 3840 crore during the year. The growth of 31.3 per cent in advances during the year was also higher than 29.9 per cent growth recorded by all schedule commercial banks.'' The bank recorded a growth of 15.50 per cent increase in aggregate deposits to reach Rs 21457 crore at the end of March 2006.
