Pratapsinh Rane condoles Pramod Mahajan's death

Panaji, May 3 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane today expressed profound grief over the death of former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Promod Mahajan in Mumbai's Hinduja Hosptal.

''The country had lost one of its promising and young leaders in the death of Mahajan. Similarly, the circumstances in which the BJP leader was done to death were tragic,''he said in a statement while offering condolences to the members of the bereaved family.

The Chief Minister said that the very fact that the entire nation had plunged into grief once the sad news was disclosed, proved the high esteem with which late Mahajan was being held by people cutting across the party lines.

He added he had personally known Mahajan and was touched by his warm disposition.
