Jammu May 3 (UNI) Normal life was paralysed for the third day in a row today in Doda district of Jammu region due to bandh , marked in protest against massacre of 19 hindus in Kulhand villages by the militants on sunday night last.

Official sources said over 400 effected and grieved families of minority communities of Kulhand and adjacent areas have migrated to Doda town and are holding protest against the centre-state governments at Ramlila ground with demands like permanent establishment of pickets of army in and areound the village and the recruitment of minority youth in state police.

The protester were anguished over the Union Home Minister Shiv Raj Patil, who did not visit the site of massacre yesterday.

However the authorities denied the migration of families from the Kulhand village and said they came to Doda simply to press for thier demands.

Meanwhile, the success is still eluding the security forces and police in their multi-tier operations , launched to nab the militants in the jungles and high reaches of Kulhand and adjacent areas.

According to the sources due to bandh the shops and business establishments in Doda district remained closed and less traffic was seen plying on the roads.
