Many sides of penultimate phase Bengal Assembly election

kolkata, May 3 (UNI) It may sound unbelievable, but true. In a booth under Ranigunj Assembly constituency of Bardhaman district, an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) developed a unique snag. Whichever button you press, it's CPI(M) all the way.

In a booth under Rampurhat Assembly constituency, it's just the other way. A faulty EVM showed every vote being polled in favour of the Congress. It was the light beside the name of the Congress nominee that only kept flashing with the press on any button.

In 22 booths out of the 252 booths under Durgapur II Assembly constituency, all the polling agents of the Congress were women.

Come what may. They will cast their votes. And all roads lead to the polling booths with a huge number of electorate braving gruelling heat standing in long serpentine queues to exercise their franchise in Durgapur I and Durgapur II Assembly constituencies.
