Mahajan's death a personal loss to me: Kalam

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam today described BJP leader Pramod Mahajan's death as a personal loss and said the nation has lost a young political leader with great potential.

He was a young leader well known for his 'can do it' approach,'' Dr Kalam said.

''I had closely known Shri Mahajan and worked with him when he was a Union Minister. I will always remember my personal interactions and close associations with him. I feel a sense of personal loss in his passing away,'' the President said in a message.

Dr Kalam has also conveyed his condolences to other members of the family.
