New Delhi, Apr 3 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee described Mr Pramod Mahajan, who died today in Mumbai after struggling for life for 12 days, as a dynamic leader and able and deft organiser.
Mr Vajpayee who rushed to the party headquarters here to pay his homage to the departed leader, said Mr Mahajan discharged very successfully whatever organisational responsibility he was entrusted.
Because of his talent, hardwork and dedication, Mr Mahajan was able to win the confidence of the partymen and opponents alike. His talent was not only helpful to the party but also to nation building. He had become a victim of cruel destiny, Mr Vajpayee said, The former Prime Minister had described Mr Mahajan as 'Lakshman' and Mr L K Advani as 'Ram' while addressing the silver jubilee session of the party on December 30 last year.
The emotional former Prime Minister said that he had heard about rains without lightning. But here a national leader had been taken away before he could bloom to his full potential. The country had lost a powerful orator, outstanding leader and deft organiser, he added.
May God give strength to his family to bear this colossal loss, Mr Vajpayee said.
