Mah govt provides Rs 9 lakh aid for film on Vasudev Balvant Phadke

Mumbai, May 3 (UNI) Maharashtra Government has provided financial assistance of Rs nine lakh to noted actor-filmmaker Ramesh Deo for his film on Indian revolutionary Vasudev Balwant Phadke.

Culture Minister Ashok Chavan while handing over the cheque, said the state government always assists filmmakers who want to make movies on great personalities and expressed happiness at providing the amount to Mr Deo.

Mr Deo said, the film is being made in Marathi and English.

''The assistance which was delayed has finally come,'' he added.

Prominent among those present at the ocassion was Akhil Bhartiya Natya Sammelan President Datta Bhagat.
