India Inc condoles passing away of Pramod Mahajan
New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) India Inc today joined hands in condoling the untimely and unfortunate death of Mr Pramod Mahajan.
The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM) described him as one of the visionaries of the country, under whose reign its Telecom and IT services witnessed a revolution.
In a statement issued here, ASSOCHAM President Anil K Agarwal said, ''With his death, a vacuum has been created in the Indian polity which will be difficult to be filled-in.'' Confederation of Indian Industry President R Seshasayee, while deeply mourning the death of the BJP leader, said the Chamber has had the privilege of working very closely with Mr Mahajan when he was a minister in the NDA government led by Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
''Mr Mahajan was a decisive, forward-looking liberaliser who had a quick grasp of economic issues. In his passing away, the country has lost a youthful leader of great promise,'' Mr Seshasayee said in a statement here.
