Haruhiko Kuroda calls on Finance Minister

Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Haruhiko Kuroda today called on Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, the Chairman of the Board of Governors for 39th Annual General Meeting(AGM) of ADB, which got underway here.

Mr Chidambaram extended a warm welcome to Mr Haruhiko Kuroda. Mr Kuroda also appreciated the efforts made by the government Of India and Andhra Pradesh to make the 39th Annual General Meeting a success.

'' President, ADB expressed his pleasure at being in Hyerabad , which he decribed as an 'extremely exciting city' with an 'entrepreneurial spirit'. He was pleasantly surprised at the pace in which the city of Hyderabad was growing. He expressed his pleasure at the overwhelming response that had been received from the delegates'', according to an official release here.
