Feedback Ventures to assist Sri Lankan gov to attract pvt investment
New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) Feedback Ventures has won an Asian Development Bank mandate to assist the Sri Lankan Ministry of Highways and its Road Development Authority (RDA), to increase their ability to attract more private investment for Sri Lanka's roads.
''The tremendous expertise and capabilities developed by government agencies and India's private road sector is now being globally recognised and applied overseas,'' Feedback Ventures Chairman Vinayak Chatterjee said.
In the 15-month assignment, a team of experts from Feedback Ventures will be responsible for reviewing the financing arrangements for upgrading Sri Lankan national highways; work out ways to increase private sector participation in the development of Sri Lanka's national highways; develop a model concession agreement; determine reforms necessary in the the policy, regulatory, institutional and financial arrangements of RDA's working.
In addition to this, they also have to assist the RDA in building a consensus among stakeholders in Sri Lanka, on the necessity and direction of the reforms suggested.
