EEPC confident of doubling exports to Germany
Kolkata, May 3 (UNI) Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) is confident of doubling of exports of engineering items and services from India to Germany in the next three years to US $ 1090 million.
EEPC president Rakesh Shah told reporters that currently US$ 545 million of engineering items and services were exported from India to Germany.
Mr Shah said he is optimistic of growth of foreign direct investment from Germany after the Hannover fair.
He said engineering exports recorded at US $ 19 billion in 2005-06 is projected to double in the next five years.
He informed that the total business generated in the Hannover fair was to the tune of US $ 1.3 billion.
