Educated to get unemployment allowance in UP

Lucknow, May 3 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today announced the unemployed graduates and post-graduates in the state would now get unemployment allowance with effect from April 1, this year.

The state government is preparing necessary directives in this connection.

Under the scheme, unemployed graduates and post-graduates would get Rs 500 per month as unemployment allowance.

The provision of amount for this purpose for the financial year 2006-07 will be made available from the state government's own financial resources.
