EC sends response on 8 MPs to president on office of profit issue

New Delhi, May 3 (UNI) The Election Commission said today it has sent its opinion in the office of profit case against Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan to President A P J Abdul Kalam.

Deputy election commissioner R. Bhattacharya said the EC opinion on eight members of parliament has been sent to the President's office.

The MPs include Ms Sonia Gandhi, Ms Jaya Bachchan, Ms Kapila Vatsayan, Mr Balbir Punj, Mr V.K. Malhotra, Mr Anil Ambani and Mr Sugrib Singh.
