Delhi beats Haryana 2-0, needs win to reach North Zone U-21 semis

Gurgaon, May 3 (UNI) Delhi scored once in either sessions to beat Haryana 2-0 in their second match to keep alive their semifinal hopes in the National Under-21 Football Championship, North Zone qualifier here today.

Prakash Nath opened the account as early as in the third minute while BJ Kabui struck nine minutes before the final hooter to complete the tally.

Delhi now has three points from two outings, after losing their opener against Jammu and Kashmir 0-1.

They wil have to get the better of Uttaranchal in their last league tie on Saturday to reach the semifinals.

In another match today, Jammu and Kashmir scored a goal in the dying seconds to hold Uttaranchal to a 1-1 draw with both the goals coming in the second half.

Rajinder Singh fetched the lead for Uttaranchal but they could not defend it and Raman Singh equalised just before the final whistle. Both teams have four points in their kitty.
