Chennai, May 3 (UNI) Former Union Minister and National spokesperson of the BJP Ravi Shankar Prasad today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to hold an informal enquiry into Union Communication and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran's for alleged threat to industrialist Ratan Tata in the DTH scam.

Talking to newspersons here he said the Prime Minister should hold discussion with Mr Tata to expose the truth and to bring the issue into limelight, as it was of a serious nature.

Mr Prasad claimed that the allegation against Mr Maran proved his role of mismanagement of telecommunication department. Despite talking about accountability and transparency, Dr Singh, preferred to remain silent on this issue, he alleged.

He said the DTH proposal was approved by the NDA Government in a transparant manner. The BJP would raise this issue in Parliament, too, he added.

Referring to the reservation quota in higher studies and its subsequent developments, Mr Prasad said it is nothing but an ego clash between Union Human Resources and Development(HRD) Minister Arjun Singh and the Prime Minister.
