Bellary recorded maximum temperature of 42.2 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 03 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.2 degree celsius over the state.

Rainfall occurred at many places over south interior karnataka and at isolated places over coastal karnataka and north interior karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm) Chitradurga, Arkalgud 5 each, Siruguppa, Harihara 4 each, Hunsur, Mysore 3 each, Almatti, Mudigere, Tarikere, Arsikere, Belur, Davanagere, Bharamasagar 2 each, Ranebennur, Manvi, Nargund, Bagalkote, Madikere, Hassan, Bangalore city, Bandipur, Malavalli, Alur, Sakleshpur, Santhebennur, Hosadurga, Rampura 1 each.

Maximum temperature rose at many places being appreciably so at a few places over north interior karnataka and changed little over coastal karnataka and south interior karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over south interior karnataka and at many places over north interior karnataka and were normal over coastal karnataka.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over south interior karnaaka and mainly dry weather may prevail over coastal karnataka and north interior karnataka.

Farmers weather bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of south interior karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of coastal karnataka and north interior karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 35 degree celsius.
