ADB meet to focus on $ 150 billion opportunity
Hyderabad, May 3 (UNI) 'The Advantage India Day' will showcase the 150 billion USD opportunity in infrastructure tomorrow during the ongoing 39th Annual Governors Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The focus will be on India's economic liberalisation, foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities in the country and public-private partnership (PPPs).
A release issued by India Brand Equity Foundation said Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda will take part.
Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia will highlight the potential in India's rapidly growing infrastructure sector for FDI and PPPs.
Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Goa besides Finance Minister of West Bengal would focus on the energy opportunities in their states.
An interactive discussion with a panel of Indian business leaders representing automobile, manufacturing, biotech, healthcare and banking would be held to highlight the advantages of doing business with and in India, which had become a market place for global economies, it added.
