5-member gang burgles house; attacks inmates

Kolar Gold Fields, May 3 (UNI) Five burglars struck at a house and decamped with valuables worth Rs 2.5 lakh at Dasarahalli here today, after seriously injuring two of its inmates.

Police said the culprits forced their entry into the house and robbed gold jewellery, silver articles and cash kept in a cupboard.

When the inmates, Jayakantha (50) and her son Manjunath resisted, they attacked the duo with rods and escaped with the booty.

The injured were admitted to a hospital.
