Bhubhaneswar, May 2 (UNI) It was a joyous journey from the holy city of Puri to the temple city of Bhubaneswar for four year three months old Budhia Singh to find a place in the Limca Book of Records as the youngest kid in the world to achieve the feat.

Braving scorching heat the wonder kid, described as the pride of Orissa, today entered the 'Limca Book of Records' by running a marathon covering 65 kms in seven hours two minutes.

Budhia was to cover 70 km from the Jagannath Temple in Puri to the CRPF Group centre here but was stopped just a few kms away from the reception venue as the accompanying doctor noticed that he was exhausted. As he entered the city, a huge rush of people started garlanding him making him breathless.

CRPF Medical Officer Dr J Naik, who was with the kid all along from Puri, forced him not to run at the DAV School Chhak when she noticed that Budhia was breathless. She said crowds should not have been allowed into the cordoned off area in such a marathon race as it disturbs the participant's concentration as well as mobility.

Budhia was then taken in a car to the venue where he was given a warm reception by hundreds of people who mostly included CRPF jawans and their family members besides a large number of mediapersons. The wonder kid was presented a trophy by CRPF group centre head and Additional Deputy Inspector General B S Gill for his achievement.
