Norms for liquor export relaxed
Lucknow, May 2 : Uttar Pradesh government today relaxed the concession given to alcohol units in UP to export their produce to other states.
Amending the earlier government order of January 2006, which made mandatory for distilleries to collect revenue of Rs 50 crore in the first year to get export pass fee concession, now these alcohol units avail of concession only by giving bank guarantee of Rs 50 lakh.
The new approval made by the state cabinet also said if the unit does not collect Rs 50 crore as revenue in the first year, the concession fee would be deducted from the bank guarantee.
The export concession is given by the state government for three years for any new distillery set up in UP.
