TVS sales up by 53 per cent in April at 80,862 units

New Delhi, May 2 (UNI) TVS Motor Company has announced an increase of 53 per cent in its sales having sold 80,862 units in April 2006 as against 52,825 units in the corresponding period last year.

The overall two wheelers sale recorded an increase of 35 per cent with 1,24,917 units sold in the month as compared to 92,400 units in the same period last year.

TVS Scooty registered a fall in its sales with only 17,969 units sold in the month as against 19,279 units in the corresponding period previous year.

TVS exports saw a rise of 11 per cent with 7,000 units exported in April this year compared to 6,291 units in the same period year.
